We are hiring talented embedded software developers: We are looking for profiles that either already have Symbian, Windows Mobile or J2ME competences and experiences or that are fluent in C++ &/or JAVA and that are willing to learn embedded development.

We are hiring strong track-record AJAX developers. PHP, Javascript and LAMP sound very familiar for you. A Ruby on Rail experience would be a plus. We are hiring several Ajax developers to join the founding team.

Here we are, mobifindit! 1.0 is now available for download. We are really excited about this initial release and eager to get your feedback.

Here’s a list of the enhancements brought since beta 2:

• Search times have been divided by 10!
• Searches can be performed while mobifindit! performs an index refresh
• We have added settings for choosing which content is indexed and at what frequency
• mobifindit! speaks your language: English, French, Italian, Spanish and German
• We have squashed some nasty bugs that prevented some elements to be properly indexed
• Many minor bug fixes

We’ve done a new mobifindit.com to welcome 1.0, so go and grab it while it’s hot!

Now we are concentrating on S60 3rd edition support and wider platforms coverage.

Ok, I owe you a real combo update about what’s been going on at mobease recently.

So, on mobifindit!, we are polishing several aspects and will reach 1.0 release at the end of August. We received great feedback both from users, reviewers & investors The other “small” piece of news that’s kept us silent lately is a new project called mobidgets. This has been in the company’s genome since the beginning but only now can we reveal to adventurous widget developers a first alpha!
mobidgets is a complete widgets engine for mobile phones (Symbian & MIPD) in the spirit of Yahoo! Widgets. With mobidgets, one can track the weather forecasts, stock quotes, news, Flickr photo streams or whatever else in a very efficient manner, right from the handset’s idle screen, thanks to these small applications named widgets.
Instead of asking the user to navigate through a bunch of (wap) pages to get this information, mobidgets delivers them in a friendly and bandwidth optimized manner.
Anyway, I’ll talk more about it in the coming months but if you are a developer and are equipped with a Symbian S60 (FP2 or FP3) handset, you can head to http://mobidgets.com, otherwise, be patient, we’ll open a public beta in September.
